A love of film as a youngster led Jim to a Film Studies degree before he was lucky enough to start a career in the industry. Jim pursued his passion for storytelling in the cutting room on shows such as SHAMELESS, VICTORIA and THE A WORD. He has edited over 50 hours of Drama, Comedy and Film and gone on to direct and co-produce 3 short films.

Now with over 18 years in the industry he has been inspired to set up a new production company not only to utilise the skills and experience he has garnered over this time, but also to provide a platform for others who wish to develop and evolve their own roles within the industry.

A love of storytelling, emotional nuance and collaboration have been developed during his time in the cutting room and he's excited to bring these skills to Flickbook films.

Laura Hampton

Co-Founder

After graduating from Oxford University, Laura started her career as an FT2 Edit trainee.

Moving through the ranks to Editor she has since worked with many prolific British Producers, Writers and Directors.

In 2012 she began a long-lasting collaboration with celebrated Director Nigel Cole (CALENDAR GIRLS, MADE IN DAGENHAM). Working together on 6 projects over the past 8 years, their partnership spans Film, TV and Documentary.

Alongside these projects she has worked on TV Drama productions for NETFLIX, AMAZON PRIME, YOUTUBE PREMIUM, ITV STUDIOS, BBC, CHANNEL 4 and Feature Films with cinematic releases.

With a gift for creating structure out of chaos, her years of editing have honed her storytelling skills, equipped her with a strong critical eye and left her committed to 'story' above all else.
